Marie Claire and Glam Media have created a competition for aspiring handbag designers. Designers can submit their handbag sketches on Glam.com, where the fashion community will vote on them. The winner will receive a trip to New York, a one-night stay at a lux New York hotel, and he/she will get to be a Marie Claire "accessories editor for a day." The final 8 bags will be auctioned off on E-bay.com with all the proceeds going to charity. Register here.

Earnest Sewn is having a NY sample sale from April 24 to April 28. All items will be $22-$75. Sale hours run from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Doo.Ri, Rodarte and Thakoon, winners of the 2006 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund have designed a collection of white shirts exclusively for Gap. The bows and flowy lines are a nice addition and the white shirts still seem fresh without being boring.

London based Top Shop has released a preview of their collection designed by Kate Moss. The collection has a lot of rocker influences, skinny jeans and suites, short short dresses and skirts that only the likes of Kate Moss should really be wearing. Available in stores May 1st, 2007.
