As things begin to thaw out here in New York, I find myself thinking of warm days in the park. And what do warm days in New York require? Stylish, breathable footware. I came across Yumi Kim's line while shopping at a boutique. She is a New York based designer. I am really impressed by her textile choices and subtle feminine lines. Some of my favorites are pictured below. I really love the asian influences in these pieces.

Mavi was founded in Istanbul in 1991. Mavi Jeans designs a full collection of jeanswear, for young women and men. Mavi means Blue in turkish. Their goal is to design jeans that reflect a mediterranean attitude. While always stylish and contemporary they attain to be comfortable. As Mavi is making it's way into the US market, currently selling through it's own chain of stores as well as Nordstroms, Zappos and Urban Outfitters. I was really curious to see what Madonna had
designed for her collection at H&M. Because while Madonna is
definitely an icon, and defined many trends in the 80's, her style
these days tends to be rather conservative. My favorite item in the
